Pilar Weisselberg is a Peruvian-Canadian visual artist.
After a successful career in the Travel industry, in 2010 she decided to pursue her love for painting. She is best known for her passion for bold colours, inspired by the native Quechua weavers whose crafts and clothing shine with them. Partly because of her Latin roots, she is passionate in her paintings and devotes long hours to each work, until she is satisfied with the results. She likes to explore different techniques and her favourite medium is oil. She started as a self-taught artist but has worked on developing her technique with teachers in Thornhill, Ontario and Miami, Florida. Currently, her favourite subject is related to trees and forests.
